Social Care Solution
Requirement: This care services group required temporary niche support workers who were fully trained to care for vulnerable asylum seeking children. Staff are often required at short notice to work a variety of shifts including lates, sleep ins and waking nights across any one of their homes.
The challenge: The group were using a national recruiter who were unable to fulfil the shift requirements or provide reliable and consistent workers. This led to the potential of homes being unsafe for already vulnerable children and the permanent workforce under pressure, having to work longer hours.
What FPR Group did: We put in place a local account team of experienced health and social care recruiters who visited each home. They analysed the working environment and the needs of the children so that we could provide our most suitable support workers.
Utilising our unique network of support workers, we were able to fulfil all of their shifts with consistent staff, which is important for the confidence and continuity of care for children.
The result: Over the first 18 months of our partnership FPR Group has become the supplier of choice and all of the homes are fully staffed leading to a happier, safer and more caring environment.
