Project Engineer - 100 Days Offshore - Permanent
Are you looking to take your career to the next level in offshore engineering? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer with subsea cabling experience to join a global leader and contribute to key projects on a permanent basis. You'll play an important role overseeing the installation of subsea cables, spending around 100 days offshore next year as part of a dedicated team delivering these crucial projects.
In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience aboard vessels and take on a range of exciting challenges, from cabling installations to subsea construction. This is the perfect opportunity for a professional with some experience in the subsea engineering field who's ready to take on more responsibility and continue developing their skills.
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive basic salary, based on your relevant subsea cabling project experience
- Additional £135 per day for offshore work
- 45p per mile for travel + other great benefits
- Flexibility to work from home when not offshore, with occasional visits to offices across the UK
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you'll help deliver engineering projects offshore, managing key aspects of subsea cabling and installation, including telecommunications and subsea construction. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the technical delivery of offshore projects, including cable laying, trenching, fibre optic work, and testing
- Assisting with financial planning, engineering drawings, and procedure documentation
- Collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Helping to improve processes and capture lessons learned for future projects
What Do You Need?
- Experience in subsea/submarine cabling projects, with knowledge of cable laying and subsea construction
- Strong project engineering skills, ideally with some international project experience
- Familiarity with cable repair, work package breakdowns, and scheduling
- Ability to work offshore for extended periods and travel to offices across the UK
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management
- Ideally, a degree in Engineering or a related field
