We're currently recruiting temporary Substance Misuse Recovery Workers to help support vulnerable young people and adults who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Your Role:

As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, you'll play a crucial role in supporting individuals who are actively using or recovering from substance misuse. You'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of vulnerable people by:

  • Managing Client Caseloads: Addressing the complex needs of individuals in recovery, creating and following personalized care plans, and providing consistent support.
  • Empathetic and Compassionate Support: Adopting a trauma-informed approach to build trust and help clients face challenging behaviours and circumstances.
  • Collaborating with Key Professionals: Working in partnership with other care teams to ensure the best outcomes for each client.
  • Variety of Settings: Visiting clients in their homes or in supported services, making every day different and full of new opportunities to help others.

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Experience in substance misuse, addiction recovery, and mental health services.
  • A trauma-informed, empathetic approach to working with individuals facing complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to set and maintain healthy boundaries.
  • Emotional resilience and patience, with a genuine desire to help others rebuild their lives.
  • Previous experience in safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
