Job Description

Are you an experienced Test Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in the aerospace sector?

About the company: Our client is at the forefront of designing and manufacturing critical components and systems for commercial and military aircraft. About the role: In this role, you would fit into their busy testing department, where valuable parts are loaded into rigs and go through a series of tests. As a Tester, you'll be responsible for ensuring aerospace components meet strict aerospace standards.

This is a temporary ongoing role, with a long-term scope and the potential to move to permanent.

Shift Pattern: There are two shifts available, the late shift, 2:15 PM - Midnight Monday to Thursday, which would pay £16.86 per hour.

Night Shift, 8 pm - 6 am Monday to Thursday, which would pay £16.86 first 2 hours, then £18.69 for the rest of the shift.

Responsibilities of a Test Technician:

  • Testing, inspecting, and analysing hydraulics parts
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Working with test rigs to ensure products meet aerospace standards.
  • Setting up testing rigs
  • Logging data for records for all the tests completed

Qualifications of a Test Technician:

  • Knowledge of aircraft fuel system components (preferred).
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100).
  • Strong mechanical and documentation experience.
  • Experience in working with test rigs and fixtures is essential.
