Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Mills using Fanuc/ Mazatrol programming to machine parts according to engineering specifications and schematic drawings.
Set up, adjust, and maintain CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to prevent downtime and ensure longevity, which will all be shown to you.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify conformity to specifications (verniers etc).
Carry put deburring tasks with precision and care, removing excess material, and smoothing edges to meet quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to address any production issues or improvements - continuous improvement!
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Document and report any non-conformances or equipment malfunctions, and ensure all documentation and completion forms are correct.
Qualifications:
Experience operating CNC in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry.
Strong understanding of Hedenhain programming, tooling, and machining processes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail.
Familiarity with deburring tools and techniques, as well as inspection methods.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
