Job Description

Are you an experienced Plastic Technician with a background in injection machines? Can you handle tool and machine setting, ensuring smooth production runs? If so, this Plastic Technician position is perfect for you!

This Plastic Technician position is working for an Injection Moulding company in Aldershot. The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7am to 16:30pm, with an early finish of 12pm on a Friday! The role is paying up to £30,000 depending on experience!

As a Plastic Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of injection machines-both plastic and rubber-within the business. This includes tool changes on the Engel Plastics Moulding machine, building plastic tools using bolsters and cores, and setting conditions for plastics jobs. You'll also undertake relevant training courses to develop your knowledge and assist other departments to ensure production requirements are met. Supporting all production machine setters and the rubber engineering department, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and contributing to team efforts are key aspects of this role.

You will need:

• Experience with tool changes on Moulding machines (Engel)
• Ability to build plastic tools using bolsters and cores
• Knowledge of setting conditions for plastics jobs
• Willingness to undertake relevant training courses
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
• Knowledge of lean tools and applications (beneficial)
• To be willing to carry out physical activities within the role - e.g. heavy lifting
